The most common issues with the Steam Account

Below, you can find the most common issues with the Steam Account that might prevent you from trading:

Limited User Account

Although creating a new Steam Account is free of charge, newly created accounts are subject to various limitations, such as adding friends or participating in the Steam Market.
To remove these restrictions and have your account fully functional without limitations, you need to make a purchase of at least $5.00 USD within Steam.

More information about Limited User Account you may find on official help website of Steam. You can find link here.

Steam Guard not enabled at all (or was not active in last 15 days)

Trading in the Steam Market requires every user to have Steam Guard enabled for a minimum of 15 days. If you haven't had it enabled for the full 15 days, you won't be able to trade or use the market features.

Recent Password Reset

If you've recently reset your Steam password, you'll be restricted from trading for 5 days. If your account has been inactive for more than two months, the restriction will last for 30 days.

Please note that a Password Reset and a Password Change are distinct actions. If you know your current password and simply want to update it via the Steam Client, no restrictions will be applied. However, if you've had your password reset by Steam Support or through https://help.steampowered.com, the mentioned restrictions will be applied."

VAC Ban

If your account has received a VAC Ban, cooldown, or Overwatch ban, you will no longer have access to the CS2 store or be able to use the Steam Market. To regain access to the Steam Market and trading, you'll need to wait until the penalty ends or consider creating a new account. For more information about VAC Bans, you can visit this website.

VAC Ban also holds item drops in a game.

Full inventory

If you receive a message stating "You cannot receive this item. Your inventory may be full," it can be caused by a few scenarios, which you need to check:.

Your account has a VAC BAN, disabling all actions related to the Steam Market.
Your account inventory contains the maximum limit of 1000 items. Try selling or deleting unwanted items to make space for new items in your collection.

Inventory is set to private

When your inventory is set to private, you won't be able to trade skins. You can quickly change this setting by following these steps:

Go to Steam website or launch Steam Client
Login to your account
Click on your nickname and, from dropdown menu, select View my profile
In top right corner you will find button Edit profile - click on it.
From menu on right, select Privacy settings and set your Inventory to Public. Changes will save automatically whenever you adjust them.
If you change your nickname on your Steam account, you will be blocked from trading for a period of 2 to 4 hours.
