Trading Issues and Limits on Steam

Below, you can find the most common issues with the Steam Account that might prevent you from trading:

Limited User Account

Although creating a new Steam Account is free of charge, newly created accounts are subject to various limitations, such as adding friends or participating in the Steam Market. To remove these restrictions and have your account fully functional without limitations, you need to make a purchase of at least $5.00 USD within Steam.

Steam Guard not enabled at all (or was not active in last 15 days)

Trading in the Steam Market requires every user to have Steam Guard enabled for a minimum of 15 days. If you haven't had it enabled for the full 15 days, you won't be able to trade or use the market features.

Recent Password Reset

If you've recently reset your Steam password, you'll be restricted from trading for 5 days. If your account has been inactive for more than two months, the restriction will last for 30 days.

Promo Code

When you top up your balance on CaseHug, you have the option of applying a Promo Code to your transaction. A Promo Code will give you a 10% bonus to your top-up amount. For instance, if you're topping up with $10, a valid Promo Code will add $1 to your balance ($10 x 10% = $1). You'll pay $10, but you'll receive $11. Similarly, if you top up for $100, a Promo Code will give you an extra $10 ($100 x 10% = $10) completely for free.

How to apply your Promo Code

To apply your Promo Code, head to the Add Funds page. You'll notice there's a field where you can enter your Promo Code (marked in red in the screenshot below):

Once you've entered your Promo Code, click "Apply". If the code is valid, you'll see a green checkmark next to it. The amount you'll get, listed at the bottom of the page, will update to show your extra 10%.

Cashback Bonus

The Cashback Bonus on CaseHug is a reward you unlock just by using the platform. Whenever you spend your balance, a portion of your spending goes towards unlocking a better reward.

How does it work?

When you spend funds from your CaseHug balance by opening cases, upgrading skins, or joining Case Battles, the equivalent of 1% of your spending is applied to your Cashback Amount.

As you use CaseHug and continue to spend your balance, your Cashback Amount will continue to increase, granting you access to better rewards.

Your reward will be equivalent in value to the Cashback Amount you have collected. For example, if you have $15 saved in Cashback Amount, you’ll be able to claim a reward that’s worth approximately $15. The minimum Cashback Amount required for claiming a reward is $2, and there is no maximum limit.

How to claim your Cashback Bonus

To claim your Cashback Bonus reward, click the “Check Reward” button located in the main menu (top of the page), next to your Balance.

In the window that appears, you will see your current Cashback Amount and the suggested skin that you can claim as a reward. To see other skins available to you, click the green circle with arrows in the top right.

Withdrawal Requirements

Although withdrawing skins on CaseHug is usually quick and easy, there are four specific requirements that you have to meet before you'll be able to do so. Here they are:

Connect a Steam Account without a VAC Ban or trade ban.
Set up a Steam Trade URL with your CaseHug account. Click here for more information on how to do that.
Set your Steam Inventory to Public.
Top up your CaseHug account with a minimum of $1.00.

Once you have completed all these steps, you'll be able to withdraw any skin from your CaseHug inventory to your Steam Account.
